#ComedyBookWeek – source page for book bloggers

UPDATE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN SUPERCEEDED by the official page. Please visit http://www.comedybookweek.com to view the up-to-date list of participating books.

I’ve decided to post all participating books early, to allow book bloggers to easily choose one (or a few!) books for review. If you are interested in reviewing any of the books below, please contact the author directly using their social media contacts, for a free review copy. You can also approach any participating author for an interview.

Once you’ve planned an “event” (a book review, interview, or a guest post), please do the following:

  1. Let me know, so that I can add it to Calendar of Events,
  2. Make sure to use #ComedyBookWeek in your post,
  3. Use the hashtag in any Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook ads of the post – we will be retweeting all posts with the hashtag during the week of 16-23 July!
  4. Use this graphic wherever and whenever you can:humor_book

And now, for the books. Click on the image to visit the book’s Amazon page, to read the blurb or author’s bio.

Please let me know if you’re an author and would like to add your funny book to this list.

  1. Hi, great idea arranging the books like this for us, certainly makes it easier for me. :). I’m going to be posting a review of Shizzle Inc and of Mission Improbable (book 1) for sure and I’m trying to go for at least 1 or 2 more books. Have contacted one author through Facebook but heard nothing back yet. I just wondered, did you want the exact date I’m going to post my reviews because I haven’t figured that out yet lol

  2. Hi Ana
I’ve contacted a couple of people so I could do a review on one of the books and I’ve asked someone else to do a guest post. I’d like to ask if you wouldn’t mind doing an interview on my blog. I’m particularly keen to ask about writing a humorous series, especially as I plan to have one out next year. Let me know and I’ll schedule it in.

Hi Ana, would love to participate and review ‘Do not wash Hands in Plates’ and ‘Can you stiff your divorce lawyer’. Have gotten in touch with the authors so await a response and review copy! Looking forward to getting involved and reading some funny books 🙂 I may even arrange an interview if that is a possibility.

    • That’s awesome, thank you! Yes, interviews would be great too – let me know what you will be posting, when and the address. All authors are committed to participating, so take your pick 🙂

        Hi Ana,

So far I have decided on the following:

17 July – Do Not Wash Hands in Plates- review
21July – Can you Stiff your Divorce Lawyer -review

I’d also like to slot in a few interviews after the reviews but will confirm those dates soon.

Also like thehappymeerkat’s idea of knowing what others are posting when so I can post that on my blog too 🙂

  6. Hi Ana, I’ve got four books I’m going to review and I can give you dates too 🙂
    16th – Shizzle Inc
18th – Mission Improbable: Carrie Hatchett Space adventurer #1
20th – Do not Wash Hands in Plates
22nd – Kingston Raine and the Grim Reaper

I can already see new books since the last time I checked in here, wish I could review more but I’d rather get 4 definite reviews done than disappoint someone.

If you end up with a timetable of events, which blogs are doing what on which days, I can post that up on my blog too (and re-post during comedyBookWeek) to let people reading my blog know where else they can visit :). Just let me know where I can find the timetable or if you post it here :).

  7. Hey Ana, I’d want to review both the books of yours and a few more. I sent a message across to one of the authors but one book which caught my attention, The Clown Prince of Paris, how do I reach the author? I hope to pick more and let you know my schedule soon.
Excited to read and review, and celebrate the comedy week with you all! 🙂

  8. Hi I’ve downloaded Mission Improbable to read and review and I’ve contacted another author about reading their book. I probably won’t get any more than two books read before kick off – I have a fairly hectic life – but when I finish those I’ll read more if there’s time! I don’t usually review on my blog but I’ll put them on there, Goodreads, Amazon and anywhere else I can find!

    Cheers

  9. As long as I get them in time I’ll run an interview with yourself on 16th June and an interview with Abby Vegas (NightWriterCT) on 17th June. More dates to come.

I won’t have time to read and review, but looking to do an interview each day 🙂

  18. Is it too late to enter my book The Wayfaring Swan. It is a romantic comedy. Heavy on the hilarious! I am on goodreads and all sales sites. If it’s too late. I will help promote. I am discounting ebook all of July and would be willing to giveaway copies, do a Q and A whatever you need. This is such a great idea and so sad I just found out about it today. I love funny everything!
