New Rafflecopter giveaway – win one of 25 digital copies of Shizzle, Inc!

Thank you to whomever mentioned this idea in comments! I’ve decided to take a plunge, although a free one at first, and created my very first giveaway on Rafflecopter. It was ridiculously easy to set up and the giveaway is free of cost to everyone – I am on the free plan with Rafflecopter, and giving away ebooks, so it will be just a matter of time to send files to the winners. The giveaway will run for 10 days and, as always, I will update you on the stats. I will also post my thoughts on whether or not I will upgrade to a monthly plan.

This time, in addition to more reviews, I hope for an impact on social media – in order to win, one would have to either follow me on Twitter, or tweet a message (or both, if they want to increase their odds of winning). I think multiple entries are allowed, so lets see what happens – currently I have 38, 705 followers.

Have you done one of these yourself? Was it worth it?

I will also test Amazon giveaways shortly, and will write a comprehensive comparison of all three soon.

You amaze me with every idea. If you don’t mind me asking what did you get you PhD in? Your brain power is vast……. the ideas just keep coming and I’m sure more spread sheets which I could never do. Love it! Good luck!

    • Thank you Olivia 🙂 the PhD was in environmental horticulture, or specifically in removing nitrates from wastewater with denitrifying bacteria…not at all related to marketing 🙂

      Thank you again:-)

That is fascinating work . Research in a lab? Your IQ has to be over 145 or above. The way your mind works encompassing all aspects of whatever you are working on, along with your perfection and drive, becoming a well known author will be just one of your many achievements in your life. You truly need to write an autobiography someday. I’d love to read that!

      • Haha, thank you, Olivia 🙂 it was 147 in college, it might’ve gone down since then, writing about Isa, haha! It was fun, working in the lab – at one point I was going to cross over to microbiology – was running DNA sequences and feeling like a “proper scientist”. Turned out there’s an oversupply of them, so it was practically impossible to get a good job.

Thank you again for believing in me 🙂

  4. I’ve only taken part in Rafflecopter giveaways as part of a group of writers and we were aiming for signings in e-mail lists. Good luck!

  5. I’ve done several Rafflecopter giveaways but I never seem to win. It’s a good way to spread the word about your book and get followers and tweets.

I’ve done several Amazon giveaways and require entrants to follow me on twitter. It works! Got several hundred new followers by giving away about 5 books at one time. The books go alarmingly fast though. Use the hashtag #free and #amazon giveaway and #freegiveaway etc when you advertise it on social media and it will go a bit viral. Lots of peeps out there looking for those freebies and spreading the word. My books were gone in a matter of hours, I was stunned (and I’m NOT well known! Ha! people just like free stuff! Who wouldn’t? 🙂

Hi Ana, have you thought of submitting to the Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards? Seems up your alley. http://www.writersdigest.com/writers-digest-competitions/self-published-book-awards
